Oh, Twas the night that Adeline was born and all through aunt Katie's house.... not a creature was stirring.... Not even a cat.
The neighbors were nestled all snug in their beds; while visions of FIRE TRUCKS entered their heads.
And out on the lawn there arose such a LADDER.... they all sprang from their beds to see what was the matter.
After 3 hours of searching was o're... who's eyes appeared with a tiny little lion roar??
GABE ON THE DAMNED ROOF!
Two stories up, shivering with fright... Gabe sat a perched on that cold autumn night.
Scared by the ladder truck, Gabe jumped with all his luck... landed on the neighbor's porch, 2 stories up!
The moon on the breast of the cold dewy grass, left Aunt Katie's toes wet and freezing at best.
Knocking on doors, calls to good neighbors.... Aunt Katie with a blanket grabs Gabe, and Ruthie Rests from her labors!
What a day!!! Welcome Little Adeline to the world!! Thank you to KCMO Truck #12. Gabe will be sending you a case of KC Strip steaks from LC's meat co. So much for his allowance!
